A deeper understanding of molecular biology and gene expression profiling of metastatic TETs represents an unmet clinical need and could help to explore novel predictive biomarkers and potentially develop precision medicine approaches.
Aims and study design
1. To reveal biological mechanisms behind disease response, progression and resistance through transcriptomic analyses that can lead to identification of new susceptible targets and therapeutic strategies
2. To identify, by using transcriptomic profile results, different prognostic subgroups of metastatic TETs associated with good/intermediate or poor outcomes
