Scientific Report 2024

This edition of the Scientific Report provides a comprehensive overview of the Institute’s research achievements for 2024. Over the course of the year, it delivered more than 1.2 million outpatient services and 18,000 hospitalizations, published 798 scientific papers, and conducted over 450 experimental studies.
Research activities, supported by a budget exceeding 116 million euros, focus on four main areas: prevention and early diagnosis; precision medicine and innovation (including AI); management of rare tumors and frail patients; and real-world data–based research.
INT promotes an interdisciplinary and translational approach and participates in numerous European projects. Future priorities include artificial intelligence, precision prevention, and institutional reorganization.
