Dr. Bruni Simone

Dr. Simone Bruni is a consultant physician in the Gynecologic Oncology Department at the IRCCS National Cancer Institute of Milan, where he focuses on the prevention and treatment of gynecologic oncologic diseases. 

He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Siena with top honors (110/110 cum laude), followed by a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

During his residency, he completed training periods at the European Institute of Oncology and the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute in Rome, focusing on the development of surgical techniques in gynecology and engaging in research on oncologic diseases and fertility preservation in young women affected by gynecologic cancers. 

Dr. Bruni holds the title of Gynecologic Oncologist certified by the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO). 

He has obtained certifications as a Bachelor and ESGE Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon recognized by the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE, Leuven, Belgium), and is accredited by IOTA for ultrasound diagnosis of oncologic conditions. 

Since 2023, he has served as a board member of the European Society of Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS), developing a particular interest in robotic surgery and artificial intelligence techniques. 

He is the author of numerous scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, Italian journals, and book chapters, and is a member of several scientific societies. 

In 2022, he obtained a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Siena, focusing particularly on molecular biology techniques and microRNAs in cervical diseases.
