Dr. Rodolfo Lanocita, born on October 23, 1967, currently holds the role of Head of the Simple Structure Interventional Oncology" at the IRCCS Foundation National Cancer Institute of Milan.

His career, deeply rooted in interventional oncology, is distinguished by a multidisciplinary approach and a constant commitment to diagnostic and therapeutic innovation. His educational background: degree in 

He graduated with honors (110/110) from the University of Milan in 1993 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, presenting an experimental thesis on the use of galactose particles for Doppler signal enhancement in solid tumor diagnostics, a then-emerging but now well-established area of research. Subsequently, in 1998, he specialized in Diagnostic Radiology at the same university, further honing his skills in medical imaging and diagnostic imaging, which would prove crucial for his future professional career.

Since 2000, Lanocita has been a consultant at the "Carlo Besta Neurological Institute" Foundation in Milan, where he is responsible for reporting multislice "body" CT exams and performing CT-guided interventional procedures.

From 2002 to 2006, he directed and managed the private ultrasound center "diagnostica ecografica" in Milan, expanding his experience in managing healthcare facilities and providing diagnostic services in the local area.

From 2006 to 2015 he held a highly specialized professional management position at the IRCCS Istituto Tumori Foundation in Milan.

In parallel with its clinical activity, Lanocita has cultivated a strong interest in scientific research, actively participating in Clinical studies and research projects aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. His scientific output includes publications in national and international journals, as well as participation in numerous conferences and symposiums as a speaker and moderator. His scientific contribution focuses primarily on the application of advanced imaging techniques and the use of minimally invasive interventional procedures for local-regional tumor
therapy. 

His interests range from percutaneous ablation techniques, such as radiofrequency thermal ablation, microwave ablation, and cryoablation, as well as embolization techniques, such as transarterial chemoembolization and radioembolization.

Throughout his career, he has received recognition for his scientific work, including the "Young Researchers" award from the National Cancer Institute of Milan in 2000 and the "Alessandro Simmaco" award from La Sapienza University of Rome in 2003.

A multidisciplinary approach is a distinctive feature of her professional practice, actively collaborating with various specialists, including surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists, to ensure comprehensive and personalized care for cancer patients.

His experience in hepatobiliary and gastroenterological interventions, with an average of 400 procedures per year, and in central venous catheter placement, with approximately 350 implants per year, testify to his expertise and dedication.

His critical and problem-solving approach, combined with a strong commitment to the company's mission, make him a respected and esteemed professional within the scientific and medical community.

In addition to his clinical and scientific work, Lanocita is a passionate athlete, competing in triathlons and mountain running at an amateur level, as well as sailing and skiing with excellent prowess. These activities reflect his
determination, resilience, and ability to tackle complex challenges, qualities that also shine through in his professional approach.
