He graduated with a in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan with top marks and honors, and obtained a specialization with honors, presenting an experimental thesis on stents for the treatment of biliary anastomotic strictures after liver transplantation.
During his training, he attended prestigious hospitals, further refining his skills at facilities such as the Policlinico di Milano, San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, and Niguarda.
Throughout his professional career, he has held roles of increasing responsibility.
Since 2020, he has worked as a freelance collaborator at important institutions such as Niguarda, performing advanced procedures and endoscopic urgencies.
Since 2021, he has been a medical director at Desio Hospital, and since 2022, he has been a staff member at the Fondazione IRCSS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, where he has honed his skills in diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, as well as treating complex conditions such as malignant biliary strictures, gastrointestinale tumors and fistulas.
Having begun training in advanced resection techniques, he is also involved in the training of colleagues and in providing specialist consultations.
He serves as a gastroenterology consultant at the Besta Institute, where he actively participates in the placement of PEG and PEG-J tubes in advanced neurological patients.
He actively participates in multidisciplinary groups focused on hereditary colorectal cancer and working groups on pancreatic and biliary diseases, and is also involved in coordinating multicenter groups (BASALT) in the development of new research protocols related to endoscopic complications following liver transplantation.
