Dr. Manca Paolo

I graduated in Rome and specialized in Medical Oncology at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, after completing a year of training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York as a Research Scholar.

I work as a Medical Oncologist in the Gastroenterological Oncology Unit, where I focus on the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal tract tumors, primarily of the esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum, and anus.

I am a sub-investigator in several interventional clinical trials conducted within our unit in which new treatment options for localized or metastatic disease are tested.

I strongly believe in translational research and the integration of molecular diagnostics and liquid biopsy into everyday clinical practice.

I am part of the rectal tumors multidiplinary team and I have a particular interest in the non-surgical management of this disease.
