Marta Brambilla is a medical oncologist with experience in management of thoracic malignancies, a field in which she has been working since 2017 at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milano-Bicocca and completed her specialization in Medical Oncology between Perugia and Milan in 2020, gaining expertise in several oncological areas before focusing on thoracic cancer. In 2019, she was awarded a FONICAP–LILT fellowship for a one-year clinical and research training within the interdisciplinary thoracic group. Since then, she has been part of the Institute’s thoracic multidisciplinary team, dedicated to the integrated care of patients with lung cancer, mesothelioma, and thymic tumors, participating in several phase I, II and III clinical trials.

Her career is marked by commitment to continuous training. She is currently a PhD student in Molecular Immunology and Translational Medicine at The Open University, working on a project exploring the immunological mechanisms of tumor response. She also earned a second-level Master’s degree in methods and data analysis in biomedical research, confirming her dedication to methodological and biostatistical competence. In 2023, she was awarded an institutional research grant from INT for a project on the characterization of circulating neutrophils in NSCLC patients. She is author of peer-reviewed publications and active member of AIOM, ESMO, FONICAP, and EORTC.
