- Molecular biologist with Bachelor’s (University of Insubria) and Master’s degree in Biology (University of Milan), PhD in Sciences (Open University, UK), and Professional Biologist license (University of Pavia).
- Professional experience as researcher at IFOM-IEO, Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri, e Technocity- University of Insubria. Since 2011 researcher at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori Milano, first at the Department of Research (Molecular Mechanism Unit) and from 2022 at the Department Diagnostic Innovation (Transcriptomics Lab).
- Her scientific activity is focused on the study of cancer genetics and transcriptional mechanisms. First by in vitro studies on thyroid cancer oncogenes and transcriptional profiles (genes and miRNAs), then broadened to translational field investigating thyroid cancer patient cohorts to identify molecular subtypes associated with disease progression, treatment resistance and tumor microenvironment cross-talk. Since 2022 she expanded her scientific activity also on breast, ovarian and biliary tract cancers, by applying -omics approaches based on next-generation sequencing (NGS) for DNA (Targeted and whole exome), RNA and methylome analyses.
- She is a Collaborator and Task coordinator for research projects funded by National Agencies (Ministero della Salute, AIRC, Fondazione Veronesi) in multidisciplinary teams with pathologists, clinicians, bioinformatics, biologists and technical personnel
