  • Since 1993 working in Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori, Milan, in Pediatric Oncology till 2000, and in Experimental Oncology since 2001 
  • She contributed to the description of prognostic markers in Wilms tumor. These markers are currently in use in the Childrens Oncology Group (COG) protocol to stratify patients’ treatment, whereas in International Society of Peditric Oncology Renal Tumor Study Group (SIOP-RTSG) they are still being validated, and Dr. Perotti is partecipating to this validation process  
  • She pioneered the study of the genetics of relapses in Wilms tumor, leading to the discovery of genetic events involved in tumor progression  
  • She has been in charge of the national centralization of biological material and of the biological studies in the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (AIEOP)- 2003 protocol for renal tumors, and she is in charge of the national centralization and biological studies within the Umbrella 2016 SIOP-RTSG protocol in Italy. She is consultant for biology within the AIEOP renal Tumor Study Group 
  • Since 2017 she is Vice-Chair, now appointed as Chair of the Biology Committee of the SIOP-RTSG, member of Wilms tumor refractory/relapse committee of SIOP-RTSG, and member of HARMONICA (HARMONizatIon and CollaborAtion for pediatric renal tumors)
