Dr. Magarotto Andrea

Specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, and medical doctor at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori since 2018. I deal with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. I have a particular interest in diagnostic and operative echoendoscopic and retrograde cholangiopancreatography. 

My activity began in 2011, when I started the specialization course in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Milan, completing the specialization with full marks in 2016. I participated in clinical trials and worked in clinics dedicated to chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and functional colorectal diseases. 

In 2015, I was a Clinical Fellow at the Royal Free Hospital in London, under the guidance of Prof. Massimo Pinzani, where I worked in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology unit. 

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, obtained with honors in 2010, and a Master of Science in Medical Biotechnology, also with honors, in 2005. Before starting my medical career, I worked in the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Milan, where I acquired expertise in cellular and molecular biology. 

I currently actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings in the management of patients with familial polyposis and genetic colorectal syndromes as well as in multidisciplinary meetings in colorectal surgery.
