Graduated in Biological Sciences in 2003 from the University of Pavia. In February 2008, I obtained a PhD in Cellular Biology from the same university.

From September 2008 to January 2010, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Nuclear and Theoretical Physics, University of Pavia. From February 2010 to May 2011, I worked as a research fellow at the Cell Therapy Laboratory of Ospedale Niguarda Ca’ Granda in Milan. From February 2012 to December 2019, I was a research fellow at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT), Milan.

Since January 2020, I have held the position of Research Biologist at the same department, where I serve as a Senior Biologist with recognized expertise in translational research and patient cohort management.

Since 2012, I have been actively involved in multiple research projects at INT, focusing on breast cancer, male urogenital tract cancers, and pediatric renal tumors.

I have developed advanced technical skills in brightfield microscopy, including cell culture techniques and histology, with particular emphasis on immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and tissue microarray (TMA) construction.

In molecular biology, I have acquired expertise in high-throughput molecular investigations (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, and GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler), with hands-on experience in nucleic acid extraction, RNA-seq library construction, and sample preparation for single-cell RNA sequencing and NanoString technologies.

I am also experienced in managing clinical protocols and work closely with pathologists, bioinformaticians, and oncologists as part of multidisciplinary research teams.

My scientific work is documented by 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with an H-index of 14.
