Dott.ssa Raimondi Alessandra

I graduated from the University of Milan and specialized in Medical Oncology at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori of Milan, where I currently serve as a Medical Oncologist in the Gastroenterological Oncology Unit.

My work focuses on the clinical diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients with gastrointestinal tract tumors, with a particular interest in gastroesophageal and colorectal cancers.

Over the years, I have dedicated myself to clinical research, participating in the design and implementation of clinical trials and translational projects, both promoted by the institute and within cooperative groups. The objective of these studies is twofold: to deepen our understanding of tumor resistance and sensitivity mechanisms to treatments and to develop innovative treatment strategies based on molecular patient selection, aiming to improve oncology care outcomes.

I am the principal investigator and sub-investigator of several interventional clinical trials conducted within our unit, where new treatment options for localized or metastatic disease are tested.

Additionally, I actively participate in the Multidisciplinary Group for rectal tumors and the ENETS Tumor Board dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors, for which the institute is recognized as a center of excellence.
