Artificial intelligence-based analysis of longitudinal breath profiles of head and neck cancer patients’ survivors

Ente Finanziatore: Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Tumori di Milano

Principal Investigator: Dott.ssa Nuzzolese Imperia

Data di inizio:

Struttura Principale: Oncologia Medica 3 - Tumori testa-collo

Co-PI: Francesco Segrado

This project aims to develop non-invasive tools for the early diagnosis and post-treatment monitoring of squamous cell carcinomas in the head and neck region using innovative techniques. The analysis of patients' respiratory profiles using mass spectrometry is based on an artificial intelligence system. The study will involve patients treated with chemoradiotherapy to identify breath signatures associated with different disease states, with the goal of creating an easy-to-use clinical tool to improve patient follow-up.
