PhD Brich Silvia

Silvia Brich PhD, biologist, showed a strong interest in cancer research since she started her fellowship at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori (INT) of Milan in 2007, and achieved her PhD in Nanotechnologies in 2018. She has been actively involved in preclinical and clinical research under the supervision of Dr. Pilotti. The laboratory has developed a strong knowledge in the field of kinase receptors in human solid neoplasm and response to target therapies. In 2018 she had the opportunity to participate in the research group of Prof. Pruneri at INT Milan, and become the group leader of the department lab running Nanostring devices, improving her expertise in molecular profiling performing nCounter and GeoMx-DSP analyses.  Dr. Brich has also developed technical skills in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology, as well as cell culture (3D cultures, organoids). In 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024 she has been awarded with a fellowship by Fondazione Veronesi. Her scientific activity is documented by 55 full papers yielding to an H-index of 20.
