Dr. Verderio Paolo

Paolo Verderio holds a degree in Biological Sciences and a postgraduate Specialization in Health Statistics at the University of Milan. His work focuses on developing methodological approaches for the design, implementation, and statistical analysis of quality control processes for oncological biomarkers. He is also engaged in the theoretical development and practical application of novel statistical procedures aimed at identifying and characterizing new molecular genetic markers. 

He is the author of numerous scientific publications in national and international journals, as well as book chapters, and is the author of the book Biometrics and Laboratory – Statistical Exercises for Biologists. Dr. Verderio serves as a peer reviewer for several scientific journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO), where he has also been a member of the biostatistical editorial board. 

Since 2014, he has served on the Animal Welfare Board of the National Cancer Institute (INT) as an expert in biostatistics. Since 2007, he has taught the course Biometrics and Laboratory at the University of Pavia. He is also a member of the teaching faculty for the PhD program in Science for Public Health at the University of Milan and is affiliated with the Italian Society of Medical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology (SISMEC).
