• 1982-1984: Fellow at the Istituto Nazionale per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (INT), Milan, Italy (1982-1984). 
• Professional experiences 
• From 1985 to present: Medical Director Biologist at the current IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT) Foundation, Milan, Italy. 
• From 2000 to 2012: Job command at the FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM) Foundation, Milan, Italy.  
• From 1990 to 1992: Visiting Scientist at CRC Human Cancer Genetics Research Group - Department of Pathology - University of Cambridge (UK). 

Scientific activity

• Research area: Identification and characterization of genetic markers associated with hereditary predisposition to cancer. 
• Publications: Co-author of 352 articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, including 61 as first or last author, or corresponding author (H-index = 80), and of two chapters in monographic texts.
