Dr. Ferrari Michele

Dr. Michele Ferrari graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Insubria, Varese, in 2016.  

He completed his residency in Thoracic Surgery in 2023 at the Policlinico of Milan.  

From 2023 to 2024, he worked as a freelance thoracic surgeon at the IRCCS National Cancer Institute Foundation in Milan. 

Since 2024, he has been serving as a Level I Medical Director in the Thoracic Surgery Unit of the IRCCS National Cancer Institute Foundation in Milan, under the leadership of Dr. Piergiorgio Solli. 

His clinical and surgical expertise includes the management of thoracic oncologic diseases involving the lung (primary and metastatic), chest wall, mediastinum, and pleura.  

Dr. Ferrari is particularly experienced in minimally invasive approaches, including video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS). 

He also performs invasive mediastinal staging and diagnostic procedures for pulmonary lesions, such as bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). 

Dr. Ferrari is actively involved in clinical research, with a focus on lung cancer screening and early detection strategies.  

He is the author and co-author of several peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at both national and international congresses.
