Marco Angelo Bongini is a medical doctor specialized in general surgery and in the field of hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery and liver transplantation. He graduated in Medicine at the University of Milan with a score of 110/110 and honours, specializing in General Surgery with top marks (70/70 and honours).  

Since 2011 he has worked in the Cancer Institute, where he carries out highly complex operations in the hepatobiliary, gastric, pancreatic and liver transplant fields.  

He deepened his knowledge on Liver Transplant with Master-class in 2013 and Level II Master in 2015 

He has always shown particular interest in the development of information technology applied to the medical world and in the technological development of surgery. He has recently been investigating the application of methods for reconditioning the organ removed for transplantation. 

Dr. Bongini's clinical activity is mainly aimed at the treatment of oncological pathologies in the hepatobiliary, gastric and pancreatic areas. Collaborates with the Lombardy Region NITp and the National Transplant Center in managing the waiting list for liver transplant candidates. He is co-creator of the LiverTransplant Manager Software, to help and manage the waiting list of liver transplant candidates in the Lombardy Region 

He has taken part as an Investigator in numerous scientific studies in INT and at a national and international level. Co-author of numerous publications in international journals with a high scientific impact, he has participated as a speaker in courses and conferences in Italy and abroad
