Dr. Battaglia Luigi

Dr. Luigi Battaglia graduated from the University of Pavia in 1998 and obtained his specialization in General Surgery in 2004 He began his professional career at the Azienda Ospedaliera della Valtellina e della Valchiavenna (Sondalo Hospital), where he gained valuable clinical and surgical experience in managing both elective and emergency cases. 
 

Since 2006, Dr. Battaglia has been working at the IRCCS National Cancer Institute in Milan, where he currently practices. Over the years, he has developed a strong interest in the surgical management of colorectal cancers, 
obtaining a Master’s degree in Colorectal Surgery. His clinical approach emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and personalized patient care pathways. 

He has acquired extensive expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques through active participation in specialized training programs. Dr. Battaglia is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in the field of colorectal surgery. Since 2019, he has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing Sciences program at the University of Milan (UNIMI). He is an active member of the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology (SICO).
