Dr. Lozza Laura Anna Maria

Dr. Laura Lozza, Head of the Breast Cancer Radiotherapy Unit at the IRCCS Foundation 'National Cancer Institute' and a member of the multidisciplinary team of its Breast Unit, has graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1985. 

She has specialized in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiotherapy at the same university in 1989 and enhanced her training with a stay at Stanford University. Since 1986, she has been engaged in full-time clinical activities in the Radiotherapy department of the National Cancer Institute in Milan, gaining experience from brachytherapy for gynecological tumors and ENT district to the latest external beam radiotherapy techniques, particularly for the treatment of breast tumors and adult sarcomas. 

She has actively participated in the development of research projects and scientific initiatives in collaboration with national and international working groups, including the Ministry of Health's targeted research project 'Quality Indicators in Radiotherapy' and various editions of the 'Reference Standards for the Irradiation of Breast Neoplasms' with the AIRO Working Group. 

She teaches courses at the Italian School of Senology, the European School of Oncology, the International Society of Geriatric Oncology, the Floriani Pain’s School, a Master's in Oncoplastic Surgery, and the School of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Milan. 

As a contract professor at the Specialization School of Radiotherapy at the University of Milan, she has supervised the training of residents and attendees. She is a Corporate Mediator for Listening and Conflict Mediation, trained by Iref (Lombardy Region). She is a public journalist after obtaining a Master's in Communication Techniques in the Health area at the University of Milan and a Specialization Course in Press Office in the Health area at the same institution
