Dr. Coppa Jorgelina

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires, she later obtained dual specialization in Gastrointestinal Surgery (Buenos Aires) and General Surgery (University of Milan). 
She has been practicing as a surgeon at the National Cancer Institute of Milan since 1996, and since 2010 has held the position of Senior Consultant with a high level of specialization. She is an expert in the medical-surgical treatment of oncological diseases of the digestive system, with a particular focus on the liver, biliary tract, pancreas, and stomach, and she is senior surgeon in liver transplant. In addition to her surgical work, which is centered on highly complex procedures, she serves as the Patient Coordinator of the Neuroendocrine Tumors multidisciplinary team at the National Cancer Institute, a team recognized as a Center of Excellence by ENETS (European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society) since 2011. She is a member of several national and international scientific societies (SIC, ASCO, ENETS, ITANET) and is the author or co-author of numerous publications on oncological diseases of the hepato-bilio-pancreatic region.
