Dott. Randon Giovanni

I graduated from the University of Padua in 2015 and specialized in Medical Oncology at the State University of Milan in 2021. Since then, I have worked as a medical oncologist in the Gastrointestinal Oncology Unit, combining clinical practice with clinical and translational research. During this period, I have been an investigator in numerous studies, including Phase 1 trials, aimed at making the most innovative treatments available, particularly for patients with gastrointestinal tumors.

I have actively participated in the Multidisciplinary Group of this Foundation dedicated to colorectal and anal diseases, collaborating with surgeons, radiation therapists, radiologists, endoscopists, pathologists, and supportive care specialists. This multidisciplinary approach provides a valuable opportunity to optimally manage complex clinical scenarios, through both discussions among colleagues and in-person consultations.

Over the years, both during my specialization and my tenure at this Foundation, I have contributed to numerous independent clinical and translational research projects, particularly in gastric cancer. Additionally, I have been involved in efforts to identify biomarkers that can guide the optimal selection of targeted therapies or immunotherapy for colorectal cancer.
