Dr. Armani Giovanna

Giovanna Armani graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 at the University of Parma. She specialized in Medical Oncology at the University of Pavia in 2023 with a thesis focused on the gene expression of triple-negative breast tumors. 

During her specialization, she carried out a year of translational research on breast cancer at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, where she mainly worked on RNA sequencing analysis, gaining particular experience in statistical and bioinformatics fields. 

Currently, she works as an Oncologist at the IRCCS Fondazione Nazionale dei Tumori, where she is dedicated to the treatment and research of breast cancer. In particular, she is involved in sponsored and academic studies, the latter focusing on the combination of metabolic approaches to standard systemic treatments, coordinated by Prof. Vernieri. Her field of translational research includes transcriptomic analyses on samples of human tumors from patients with breast cancer, aiming to identify biological markers of the effectiveness of standard and experimental treatments.
