Dr. Colletti Gaia

Gaia Colletti graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2018 and completed her specialization in General Surgery with an oncological focus at the same university in 2023. During her training, she u dertook an advanced training period abroad at the Evangelische Krankenhaus Bethesda in Duisburg, Germany, in 2022, focusing on inflammatory bowel diseases and hereditary gastrointestinal syndromes. She has also attended numerous international courses and workshops dedicated to minimally invasive surgical techniques and technological innovation in oncology.

Since January 2024, she has been a medical surgeon at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan, where she carries out clinical and surgical activities in the field of gastrointestinal oncological surgery, with particular attention to colorectal and peritoneal tumors. Her work is carried out within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating daily with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to define personalized and innovative therapeutic pathways aimed at improving the quality of care and survival of oncology patients.

Gaia Colletti is actively involved in leading scientific societies in the field, including the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology (SICO) and the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO). 

She is currently attending the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (ESPSO), a European center of excellence for advanced training in the surgical treatment of peritoneal neoplasms.

In parallel with her clinical activity, she is involved in national and international multicenter research projects aimed at developing innovative therapeutic strategies and identifying predictive biomarkers in oncological surgery. She is the author and co-author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and regularly participates in national and international conferences, presenting the results of her research. She also serves as a reviewer for specialized journals in the field (EJSO).
