Dr. Jacobs Flavia

Flavia Jacobs is a medical oncologist with specialized expertise in the clinical management and research of breast cancer. 

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Palermo and completed her residency in Medical Oncology at Humanitas University, where she worked for one year following her specialization. 

Dr. Jacobs also spent one year during her residency, at the Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels, a leading European cancer center, where she worked as a medical advisor in clinical trials. During this time, she was actively involved in the design and conduct of academic trials and research initiatives focused on breast cancer. 

Currently, Dr. Jacobs serves as a staff medical oncologist at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan. She is part of both the Breast Oncology Unit and the Medical Oncology Division, where she is engaged in the comprehensive care of patients with breast cancer at all stages, from early diagnosis to metastatic disease.  

Her clinical activity is guided by national and international standards, and she has several years of experience in the systemic treatment of early and advanced breast cancer.  

In parallel with her clinical activity, Dr. Jacobs is actively involved in clinical research. She serves as a Sub-Investigator in numerous Phase I–III clinical trials across the neoadjuvant, adjuvant, and metastatic settings and collaborates on translational research projects aimed at improving breast cancer research. 

She is an active member of major oncology societies, including the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and is the author or co-author of several publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
