Dr. Fabio Bozzi is a biologist who began his career in 1995 studying genetic hereditary diseases at the National Research Council where he contributed to the discovery of RAG1e RAG2 as genes responsible for "Omenn syndrome", a rare hereditary disease of the immune system. 

In 2001 he moved to the IRCCS Fondazione Istituto Nazionale Tumori (INT) Milan where he graduated in Chemistry and clinical biochemistry in the same year. 

At the INT, he has performed various tasks and acquired various skills in both clinical service/ support and research activities.

Support activities at the clinic included: 

Manipulation of stem cells for homologous transplantation;

Cytometry of onco-haematological diseases for diagnostic purposes. 

His research activity has been mainly focused on the molecular characterization of sarcomas and has included: 

molecular profiling of various sarcomas, 

manipulation/stabilization of primary sarcoma cell cultures, 

Analysis of murine models of human sarcomas, 

Cultures of cancer stem cells from colon carcinoma. 

He currently works at the Department of Innovative Diagnostics, Pathological Anatomy 2 of the IRCCS INT  where he is involved in a multidisciplinary team for the validation and analysis of data from "omics" platforms and writing the related scientific reports.
