Dr. Pecori Emilia

Dr. Emilia Pecori is a Senior Radiation Oncologist affiliated with the Pediatric Radiotherapy Unit. She graduated in Medicine from the University of Siena in 1999 and specialized in Radiation Oncology at the same University in 2003.  

Since 2005, she has been practicing full-time clinical activity at the Radiotherapy Department of the IRCCS Fondazione Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan (Italy), accumulating over twenty years of experience in pediatric and adolescent oncological diseases, including lymphomas in association with autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation in both pediatric and adult patients. 

 She has contributed to the development of Total Body Irradiation (TBI) procedures.  

Dr. Pecori has actively participated in the clinical and scientific activities of the multidisciplinary Pediatric and Oncological Radiotherapy groups within the institute.  

Additionally, she is a promoter and an active participant in research projects and scientific initiatives in collaboration with leading research groups of scientific societies such as AIEOP (Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology) and SIOPE (European Society of Paediatric Oncology).  

Her consistent and authoritative commitment has always been a fundamental element of this institution.
