Twenty years of experience in basic research and, more recently, translational research in the field of tumor immunology and the tumor microenvironment. 

Since 2008,  staff scientist in the Complex Unit of Molecular Immunology, directed by Dr. Colombo. Following his retirement in December 2023, appointed Acting Director of the same unit. 

Management of research projects as Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, or collaborator, supervising and coordinating the work of laboratory technicians, post-docs, and PhD students. Organization and management of the unit and its dedicated staff, along with collaboration with various internal and external researchers. 

Research focus: 

• Study of the tumor microenvironment, particularly its immune and stromal components, and the bidirectional interaction between neoplastic cells and these components. 
• Investigation of the mechanisms underlying tumor progression and resistance to therapies, also through the use of murine tumor models (mainly breast carcinoma and osteosarcoma, but also colon, prostate carcinoma, and B-cell lymphomas). 
• Analysis of the circulating immune profile in cancer patients and its potential prognostic and/or predictive value.
