Dr. Valeri Barbara

After graduating from high school, she earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Perugia. She worked as a general practitioner and prison doctor. 

She then obtained her specialization in Pathological Anatomy with honors at the University of Bologna. She worked at the Addarii Institute in Bologna, focusing on gynecological pathology, liver pathology, and hepatorenal and intestinal transplant pathology, collaborating with reproductive medicine departments and pharmaceutical companies (Phidiafarma). 

She has been a lecturer in national courses on ovarian tissue cryopreservation, neuropathology, gynecopathology, and melanocytic skin pathology. 

Since 2005, she has been working as a Pathologist at the IRCCS INT Foundation in Milan, where she specializes in dermatopathology and Ocular Oncological Pathology, with a focus on pediatric and adult melanocytic lesions, also collaborating with experimental oncology. 

She teaches at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan and in the second-level Master's program in Molecular Pathology and MTB.
