A degree in Medicine and Surgery was obtained in September 1995 at the University of Pavia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Oncology was obtained in October 2002 at the University of Insubria. 

Since November 2005, collaborating research physician at Palliative Care, Pain Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit, INT
