Dr. Alessi Alessandra

I have been working at the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Italy (Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori) as a nuclear medicine physician for over 20 years. Since 2015, I am head of the PET Unit on Nuclear Medicine Department. 

I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Catania and obtained my specialization in Nuclear Medicine - University of Milan. 

My experience includes approximately 2700 reporting PET scans, and I'm PET imaging reviewer for various research projects. 

I am a member and I participate of multidisciplinary boards for melanoma, breast, prostate, and gynecological tumors. Additionally, I collaborate with the University of Milan as a tutor for the Nuclear Medicine specialization school.  

I also provide training to residents and newly qualified specialists in the PET Unit. 

Furthermore, I am a member of the Oncology Study Groups of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AIMN.  

I participate in several Phase 1 clinical trials and hold certifications in Advanced Life Support and Good Clinical Practice.
