Dr. Allajbej Albina

After receiving the high school diploma at the Mehmet Akif Turkish College in Tirana, I moved to Italy where I graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 2014 and specialized in Radiation Oncology at the University of L’Aquila in 2019. 

In 2015, I served within a clinical research scholarship program at the Medical Oncology department of the G. Fornaroli Hospital, Magenta. In 2019, I completed a clinical observership at the Department of Radiotherapy, Léon Bérard Center in Lyon. 

Since 2020, I have been working at Radiation Oncology Department of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, first as a specialty doctor and since 2021 as a full-time consultant. My fields of interest are thoracic neoplasms, soft tissue and bone sarcomas of adults and I am an active member of the multidisciplinary team for these pathologies. 

During my training, I have developed skills and acquired autonomy in brain and extracranial stereotactic radiotherapy treatments. I participate in national and international multicenter clinical research protocols and scientific meetings. I am co-author of publications in scientific journals and collaborate in training and supervision of students, residents and young radiation oncologists. 

I am a member of the Italian Association of Oncological Radiotherapy (AIRO) and Radiobiology (AIRB), of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO), of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Lung Cancer & Soft Tissue Bone Sarcoma Group, of the Italian Sarcoma Group (ISG), of the British Sarcoma Group, of the Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG) and of the Italian Mesothelioma network.
