EUCanScreen is a project funded by the European Commission with the goal of strengthening the quality, effectiveness, and equity of cancer screening programmes in EU member states. The project focuses in particular on the prevention of breast, colorectal, cervical, lung, and prostate cancers.

Through a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, EUCanScreen promotes the collection and analysis of comparable data at the European level, the development of evidence-based recommendations, and the support of organized, accessible, and high-quality screening programmes. The ultimate aim is to foster the implementation of shared strategies and the harmonization of practices across the different European healthcare systems.

The National Cancer Institute of Milan actively participates in the project, contributing its expertise to the definition and dissemination of effective screening models based on scientific evidence and aimed at advancing cancer prevention on a European scale.
