Dr. Ferrari Laura Anna Maria

Dr Laura Ferrari is Head of the Struttura Semplice Dipartimentale Oncology Medical Day Hospital ( DHO ) of the Dept of Oncology and Haematology of Foundation IRCCS Milan National Cancer Institute 
She graduated in Medicine with honors in July 1981 ( Milan Univ.) with a thesis on Second Tumors in Hodgkin’s Disease, previously attending as student the Division of Medical Oncology directed by Dr G. Bonadonna 
In 1984 obtained the Specialization in Oncology (Pavia Univ. ) and in 1988 the Specialization in Haematology (Milan Univ. )  
In 1984/1985 she held a Post Doctoral Fellowship, Division of Oncology directed by Prof P. Calabresi, Brown Univ. R.I. USA ( Grant American Italian Foundation for Cancer Research ) 
She held several positions at the Milan National Cancer Institute first as Associate Researcher then since 1990 as Clinical Assistant,  until 2018 as DHO Director . 
At the Division of Medical Oncology she was involved in Phase I, II, III studies on new drugs and in breast cancer medical treatment (adjuvant, neoadjuvant, metastatic).  

Since 2000, DHO she was  responsible for the management/supervision of all conventional and experimental cancer infusion treatments in solid tumors and oncohematology (approximately 27000 performances/year)  
Teaching activity University of Milan ( aa 2005 - 2017 ) 
Tutor at Specialisation School in Oncology Milano from 2017 
Master in Health Management in 2021 with the innovative project Management Agendas. 
Member of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology since 1982 and of the American Association of Medical Oncology since 1987.

Author/co-author of about 100 publications/abstracts H-index 25 and speaker at national/international congresses/seminars.
