Voluntary attendance
Voluntary attendance refers to access to the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori (INT) for the purposes of study and updating. Voluntary attendance can last from a minimum of one week to a maximum of 12 months, allows for observational activity only and does not constitute a working relationship.
Voluntary attendance is carried out free of charge and is not to be confused with other access methods such as curricular or professional internships of undergraduate and master's courses, specialization courses, scholarships or research, school–work alternation, visiting professors, visiting scholars and visiting scientists.
Who are the volunteer attendee:
- Volunteer attendee for training purposes: Italian and foreign high school graduates or graduates who access the facilities of INT for educational, updating, acquisition and deepening of experience and knowledge typical of each functional position in the Foundation's organic endowment, as well as university students for the preparation of the exam and/or final thesis of the degree course.
- Senior visitors: retired scientists, Italian or foreign, of high scientific qualification, sent by the Scientific Directorate for short periods to assist the young researchers, directing them and providing them with support to the activity documental research.
- Visitors: high school graduates, or graduates, Italian or foreign, who intend to visit the Institute, from 1 to 5 days for documentary purposes.
How to apply
The request for voluntary attendance in the facilities of INT is subject to prior authorisation, as regulated by internal procedures.
The volunteer visitor who intends to attend a facility of the Institute verifies the possibility by sending a request to the Director/Manager of the unit by e-mail to the secretary's office of the unit, looking for the address on the institutional website.
The secretary's office will take care to send the form for the request of attendance with the necessary instructions.
