Il Dipartimento di Oncologia Medica 1 annuncia il rilascio ufficiale del codice PROACT 2.0, un'applicazione mobile e web open source per la gestione della comunicazione medico-paziente nell'ambito di studi clinici. L’app è stata testata durante un trial clinico condotto in Istituto nel 2022 e stiamo lavorando affinché possa essere diffusa a una scala sempre maggiore di pazienti.

PROACT 2.0 rappresenta per il paziente un modo alternativo di comunicare con i medici e gli infermieri di riferimento. L'App consente agli utenti di inviare messaggi di testo, vocali e video, che saranno visualizzati dall'équipe medica. PROACT 2.0 consente ai medici di inviare questionari programmati o su richiesta ai pazienti arruolati negli studi.

L'App è stata sviluppata nell'ambito del progetto "UpSMART", finanziato da Cancer Research UK, Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro, Fundación Cientifica del Asociación Española Contra el Càncer.

The Oncology Department 1 is proud to announce the official release of the code PROACT 2.0, an open source mobile and web App for the management of patients-to-medical-team communication within clinical trials. The application has been tested in a clinical trial at the Institute and we aim at extending the number of involved patients.

PROACT 2.0 represents an alternative way of communication between patient and the referring doctors and nurses. The App allows users to send text, voice and videos messages, which are visualized by the medical team. PROACT 2.0 allows doctors to send scheduled or on-demand questionnaires to patients enrolled in the trials.

The App was developed as part of the “UpSMART” Accelerator Award, funded by Cancer Research UK, the Italian Cancer Research Association, Fundación Cientifica del Asociación Española Contra el Càncer.
