EUROCHIP is
an intellectual work involving all those that may contribute with their
competence:
- To develop a
comprehensive list of health indicators useful for monitoring cancer in the
countries of the European Union. The
list will include variables on the prevalence of risk factors,
pre-clinic activity, cancer occurrence, clinical follow-up, cancer
recurrences, patient survival, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,
effectiveness of cancer care, outcome and care prevalence. The list will include
a huge set of socio-economic, demographic, and health-related variables that
will be useful in controlling cancer
- To indicate
standardised methods for collecting, checking and validating the data and to
propose methods, procedures and techniques to analyse the results and make them
available.
